Best of Show

This painting is powerful in design, one which is unique and obviously of the artists emotional response to an experience of a moment in time. The viewers eye enjoys paint quality, active brushstrokes, and valid color harmony, with a mystery that pleases the senses.

First Place

The more we returned to this painting, the more we enjoyed what we saw. Color harmony, warm and cool temperatures are captured as true plein aire - quick, editorial, emotive.

Second Place

Painting on an intimate scale at it's finest. This sensitive piece draws one in and keeps you there with loose brushstrokes and a fine design, leaving enough out for the  imagination.

Third Place

This seemingly simple watercolor is surprisingly quite complex. Well composed, subtle color that is kept in control by way of values and placement.

Quick Paint
Best of Show

This piece captures beautifully the effects of light. Emotional, inviting and well executed for such a difficult subject in a short period of time.

First Place

Composed chaos of organic forms juxtaposed to vertical form of the bird bath. Value, color, and movement are well executed.

Second Place
This vertically designed painting displays control over not only the artists medium, but also the ability to edit and simplify.
